Recent Past and Present

Past: Trip to Europe was amazing. Here's a run down:
England
London - Stayed with Val - went out to dinner

Scotland
Edinburgh:
Hogmanay New Years Festival
Tour bus: Loch Lomond, Sterling Castle
Glasgow:
EuroHostel - woo hoo, bunk beds!!!
Got a vicious virus - sore throat thing (I'm still trying to kick it)
Tour bus with the "Two Johns" - got to be a giggly girl
Cafe Nero - found out I was accepted into Otis

Spain
Girona:
Flew into - went out to dinner and had great Tapas and drunk on Sangria
Rented a car next morning
Figueres:
Hometown of Dali - went to the Dali Musuem
Barcelona:
Navigated with a walking map - down streets that barely fit our VW car
Stayed at the Hostel Gat Xino - would recommend to anyone.
Went on bus tour
Gaudi's church - which won't be finished for another 30 years...yowza
Discovered the best "chocolate caliente" (hot chocolate) in the world - thich and goopy.
Tried "real" Absinthe (with wormwood and all) - don't remember much more...haha
Met two wonderful Italian ladies - also met huge group of British Investment Bankers.
Went out on the town to underground bars and such.
Pamplona:
No map
Great Tapas at Bar Gaucho
Shopping shopping shopping the next day
San Sabastian:
No map again - woo hoo to their direction signs
Stayed at B&B - really sweet and clean - no smoking - woo hoo
Drove to Zarauz (spelling?) for dinner (Pinchos = tapas) and shopping.
Bilbao:
Navigated without a map
Drove out to Basquo Pintado (Painted Forest) - will show photos later
Went to the Gugenheim (not inside though)
Went on Tapas (Pinchos) bar hopping

England (again)
London:
Stayed at Val's again - but she and family were gone. :(
Saw Katherine and Rupert - drinks, then dinner at bar near Val's
Went out to see Francis and Myrtle (father's friends) - had a really great time - got drunk on a glass of wine at lunch and took a short nap in the car.
Met Kavan and fiancee for dinner.
Went out with Jessica Thurber.


Present:
Got into Otis.
LOVE my new school.
Have noooo time to be social anymore.

Official apology to friends and family - I'm thinking about you all, I just haven't had any time to breathe or do anything other than school and sleep. Will see you all in 3 1/2 years. haha
