AIMs that shouldn't take place, but do because it's really late...

Me: he's like a booger that you can't get with a hankie...so you just have to say screw it and dig in with your finger.
Tova: hahahahahahahahha
Tova: omg
Tova: lmao
Phil: and when you finally do get to it, it's all discolored with hairs stuck to it?
Me: LMAO!!!

Funny that my horoscope should say this today...

Outwardly, you're oozing confidence from every pore, concerned only with your career, responsibilities and reputation. On the inside, however, your feelings are threatening to take over. Try to find a balance.

Hmmmm...hit the nail on the head much?!

Knowledge is Power

For those of you in California who are interested in this year's Nov. 2 election, but need a little clarification on who you're voting for, and some information on the propositions...I recommend this file: California Nov. 2, 2004 Election

It's really easy to read and gives clear breakdowns of what each proposition stands for, how it can impact us and the Pro and Anti views of each. Nice thing about this one is that it breaks down the information into terms we can all understand. :) Educate yourself and enjoy. :)

Rise and shine!

My neighbor is singing:
"do do doo doo doo...do do doo doo doo...Hot Pocket!" at the top of his lungs. Haha...if I had woken up to anything else, I might be annoyed.

Holy crap!

Plop
Is it physically possible that a bird required to make a plop this size would be able to fly?!

And I mean...come on people...I'm not one who washes my car very often, but if there's something that magnificent on the hood of my car, I'm at least going through a Quik-E-Wash. Maybe they're waiting until they get home to take pictures to submit to Guinness World Book of Records...."Worlds Largest Crap"!

Resident Evil

Saw Resident Evil: Apocalypse yesterday. Definitely an entertaining movie - lots of action, never boring.

Uh oh!

Oh yeah...and I got bit by a mosquito a week ago and now I'm convinced I have West Nile Virus...*cough*

Still Recovering…

I’ve definitely been witness to one of the busiest Labor Day Weekends in all of history. A weekend so crazy that only one person, aside from myself, could handle every event. Hours and hours of dancing, laughing, running around, and hundreds of dollars worth of water later...the weekend culminated smashingly.

Thursday evening: Grant Plant (the Mor – Santa Monica)
Attendees: Teri, Tova, Mark, Mike, Krissy, Jesse, and a surprise visit from my friends Dave and Dan
Highlights: First and foremost – running into friends that I haven’t seen since Coachella just walking along the sidewalk (Dan and Dave) – they went to get drinks and then met up with all of us later on. Grant Plant busted out some amazing oldies – Underworld was my favorite. Met some cool raver-boy from Chicago, Jo-Jo and his friend Christine (they’re OLD-SCHOOL ravers) Then Mark and I went and hung out at some crazy-chick’s house until 4:00am (G’len) – salvaging the hours at her house with a fluffy cat and parrot were two other people we met at the Mor: Justin and Steve (two law-students, 25 and 27) – very cool guys.

Friday evening: Adam Hagen, John Day and John Do (Basic [King King] – Hollywood)
Attendees: Teri, Tova, Mark, Gabe, Darrin, Eric
Highlights: Amazing house mixes, dance floor wasn’t overcrowded, so I got to dance my butt off, free water!!! :)
Side venture: Mark, Gabe and I swung over to Free Thinking (Boardners) to meet up with Krissy and Jesse for a few.

Saturday evening: Nocturnal Wonderland (Orange Show – San Bernadino)
Attendees: Teri, Tova, Mark, Mike S., Mike C., Twinkie, Michelle, Erin (and I can’t remember their friend’s name), and Mark’s friends: Nate (Yay, I finally got to meet him!) and I can’t remember the other guy’s name (Tyler or something like that).
Highlights: The evening started out a little rocky with a scare, but we quickly remedied that with a few drinks and some great music. We only got to see the last song of Mark’s future wife DJ Colette, but we saw some amazing acts after that. Kaskade, Rabbit in the Moon, Sandra Collins, Paul Oakenfold, Hybrid…so many more that I’m not mentioning. Then we all went to Mike S.’s house and hung out – I passed out from exhaustion, while the rest of the crew went for a dip in the hot tub. :)

Tova, Teri and Mark at AD - Mark FarinaSunday evening: Architects of Sound, Who’s Your Daddy, John Do, Justin Gourley and Mark Farina (AD – Hollywood).
Attendees: Teri, Tova, Mark, Michelle, Erin, Ashton
Highlights: – (Found a pic of us on Wantickets.com that Ashton took - to the left) AoS had technical problems (their mixer fizzled out), so they started late, which gave us a chance to enjoy the ever-soothing live performance by Who’s Your Daddy. AoS, though brief, rocked the house. Mark Farina was mind-blowing – I’ve never seen him perform so well and the crowd react so much. Haha..Tova wanting to punch Tyson (“CAN YOU HEAR IT?!”) every time he came by. Then there was the after-party at John Day’s house ---- woooooo weeeeeeee, Mark and I stayed until 5:something, then swung by Benito’s on the way home to pass out.

Monday afternoon: Monkey Bars, Raul Campos and Marques Wyatt (Loews Beach Hotel – Santa Monica)
Attendees: Teri and Mark (this is where the real troopers hung on)
Highlights: This was the perfect way to end the crazy weekend we had. The hotel was raised, a few feet from the sand of the beach, the sun was shining and the music was going off. House music at its finest. I just wish I hadn’t been so exhausted so that I could have danced more, but it was still just amazing to veg on the lounge chairs and listen to the tunes. John Do and Justin Gourley were supposed to spin, but Loews shut the party down an hour early…bummer.

Thanks everyone who was involved in making this my favorite Labor Day Weekend of all time. I seriously had a blast!

Grrrrrr

I've just discovered how hard life is without long nails. In a moment of brilliance and frustration of making clicking noises on my keyboard while I typed, I decided that I would hack off my nails to basically nothing. Well, after sitting here for 2 long, excruciating minutes trying desperately to remove those god-forsaken "protective" sticky things that surround DVD packages, I've decided I'm never chopping them this short again. So, in the meantime, I'll be twiddling my practically nail-less thumbs until they grow back...*twiddle*
