Ketchup

This is literally the first moment I've had to breathe since my last post - craziness with taking 6 classes (and finals in a week), and getting my portfolio finished for my application to Otis have just kept me going day and night the past few weeks.

I had another meeting with an Admissions Counselor today, Yvette and I went over my finalized pieces, and she says that my portfolio has a lot of really strong pieces. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can start there in January. Classes start 3 days after Chris and I get back from Europe, so if I do get in (fingers crossed), I hope I'm adjusted to the time zone by then. :)

I got really lucky with my finals schedule, and there aren't any multiple tests on the same day - phew! They're also spread out really nicely which should give me more than enough time to complete everything and get all my studying done. Thank God - I think I would have died if things had been set up differently.

Hmmmm...what else is going on???

Went to my Auntie Lois' house for Thanksgiving - had a WONDERFUL time - it's really nice to be able to visit everyone there, now that my Dad's gone, I still feel like I have a warm home with family to go to during the holidays. Aside from my old house in Montana, my Auntie Lois' house is the only stable place I've known my entire life...the memories of visiting and spending time with all of my family are wonderful, and warm. :) That and getting to see all her Department 56 Houses up for Christmas - it's such a spectacular sight. :)

Well, I think I'm gonna go and watch a movie and enjoy the few hours I have to breathe before I get back to work. :)

See ya later.

Hello,

I have just finished reading your WHOLE BLOG in one sitting. I think there are two things that stuck out most from the experience.

One: what is Otis? (I really don't care.)

Two: you design nice jewelry. Very nice, in fact.

Well, that's about it, other than to say it was enjoyable, if somewhat uninspiring. (Don't ask me why.)

Cheers.

Hava happy.

Hello! :)

Thank you for reading my blog - and for looking through my site. I definitely need to update a lot of things - in particular, my jewelry design. :) I'm happy to hear that you like my designs - I've definitely grown a lot in that area and have a new concept of design for jewelry. I'll try to get more recent designs up soon. :)

I realize you said not to ask why, but I'm curious as to why you found my site/blog unispiring? (In my field that can be the kiss of death, so I'd love to know what might help that.)

Also - Otis is a private college for art and design - out in Los Angeles. I'm wanting to attend the digital media program there (for things such as computer animation and web design). I've submitted my portfolio, and hopefully, soon, I'll find out whether I made it in or not.

Hope that clarifies some things, and thanks again for visiting! :)

That's just it. I don't know either. Maybe it has to do with the saying "those who can, do..." (ie. they don't talk about it necessarily well) together with the fact that a graphic artist works with graphic images and not with words. Perhaps you are a good graphic artist/designer/painter, etc., but don't necessarily work on an inspired lever with with words on a weblog?.....Lord knows.

Anyway, I'll drop by to see your new stuff now and then. Here's hoping you do make it to Otis.

Cheers.

(Spell check: level not lever, FYI)
