Swirley Night

huh? Sleep? What's that? Running tally - 6 1/2 hours of sleep for a total of 4 days. WOOOO!

Last night I had the most amazing hallucination - I was reviewing my notes for Poli Sci class on my laptop, and all of a sudden the screen got this amazing 3-D depth and these vivid orangey-peachy tinted swirls started going everywhere. So, I sat back for a few and enjoyed the drug free acid-trip, then got back to work.

Starry Night

My art history teacher told me that there's a theory that some artists, like Vincent van Gogh (Starry Night [above]) and Edvard Munch (The Scream) actually painted what they saw. It's not that their works are artistic renditions of what they were painting; it's that they were actually recreating, on canvas, HOW they saw things. My hallucination made me realize that's totally possible. So maybe if I continue to get no sleep, and take up painting, I'll become famous and cut my ear off.
