Being Poor is fun

You know, I have to say that my life is much more creative now that I'm completely broke.

Instead of________, I__________:

buying a new movie, I study...
going to a museum, I go to the beach (but I still go to the free museums!!!)...
paying to go out to the movies, I go to see free sneak previews...
going out to a bar with friends, I host a wine and cheese night at my house...
going out to eat, I cook my own meals (gasp)...
going to see a DJ at an expensive club, I go to ones where I know the DJ and get on the list...
paying for a gym membership, I pay $18 for 18 weeks of circuit training at my school...

the list goes on and on. It can actually be a lot more fun being broke, than it is to be financially comfortable - yeah, it might be a little scary sometimes, but somehow all the things I do lately feel so intimate and warm...not shallow. Ahhhhh, nice feeling. :)
